Be a part of what keeps UCLA Live happening by joining the award-winning, performing arts outreach program for kids and the community!

Design for Sharing (DFS), an essential outreach and education component of UCLA Live, enriches the lives of children and the underserved audiences in our community through sharing the experience of creativity and underscoring the central role of the arts in our lives.

Since DFS’s inception in 1969, this vital program has been sustained by donations from generous individual donors. Your donation ensures the continued availability of free morning Demonstration Performances for public school students by world-class performers, My Special World workshops in music and dance for L.A.'s youngest students, and distribution of free tickets to hundreds of community groups in Los Angeles each year. Mimi Perloff, the co-founder of Design for Sharing and a longtime friend of UCLA Arts, passed away on January 21st. She served the University and the community with tenacity, high intelligence and a delightful sense of humor. We will always be inspired by her passionate commitment to young people and to the arts, and we will miss her dearly.
