Since its beginnings in 1969 as a young firebrand quartet out of Juilliard, to its current stature as one of the today’s supreme chamber ensembles, the Tokyo String Quartet has captivated international audiences and critics alike with its remarkable finesse and elegance, performing with “breathless pianissimos, a full spectrum of impressionistic colors and extraordinary intense passion” [The Strad]. This Grammy-nominated ensemble will be joined by clarinetist Sabine Meyer in a program that includes Mozart’s Quintet for Clarinet and Strings in A major.
