Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Being John Malkovich; Adaptation) brings the quirky drama and savage wit of his award-winning movies to the stage in this very special event, which features live readings of his Hope Leaves the Theater and Anomalisa by newcomer Francis Fregoli. Set to music and conducted by prolific film composer and collaborator Carter Burwell, the plays come to life before your ears, with great actors, scripts in hand, joined on stage by a sound-effects artist and a live band to create multiple characters and parallel realities. No film, no sets, no costumes. This will be an evening like none you’ve ever seen–or heard–before.
