Renowned for her thunderous footwork, commanding presence and fiery elegance, Sara Baras is Spain’s most popular dancer and a modern flamenco icon. Winner of Spain’s most prestigious dance award, the National Dance Prize, in 2003, and named "Face of Andalusia" in 2002, Baras also recently broke box office records during her five-month run in Madrid. After her spectacular Royce Hall debut in 2004, Baras and her dazzling Ballet Flamenco are back with Sabores (Flavors). Dedicated to Baras’ mother and first dance teacher, Concha Calero, this new work showcases the many styles and flavors of flamenco.
