Since it opened in 1958 until it burned to the ground in 1973 (its third fire), hundreds of notable artists, reflecting various folk styles appeared on the Ash Grove stage – from Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters to Johnny Cash and the Byrds– making the club a unique home to the political and cultural movements of its time.

Two outstanding Royce Hall concerts serve as the heart of this festival commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Ash Grove’s inception. This weekend-long celebration also features free afternoon concerts, conversations about the era; afternoon workshops with musicians, songwriters, poets and professors; and art installations.

Please visit the Ash Grove Music website for more information.
