Young@Heart started 28 years ago as a simple sing-a-long at a meal site for low-income elders. Since then, the group has performed all over the world, and has been the subject of an award-winning documentary. The current performers range in age from 73 to 89—some with prior professional experience, others who never stepped onto a stage before turning 80.

They will be joined on stage by Sonos, an acapella ensemble made up of six UCLA alumni. From the radical interpretations on their debut album, Sonosings, of artists as diverse as Bjork and the Jackson 5, to collaborations with Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Co., novelist Margaret Atwood and now Young@Heart, the ensemble continues to challenge what people expect of vocal music.
