Design for Sharing provides free arts education programs to K-12 public schools and community organizations throughout Los Angeles. DFS receives funding for its programs from a dedicated membership of individuals who care passionately about making the arts an integral part of children’s lives. A membership to Design for Sharing is a gift of the performing arts to our community’s children - helping DFS to fill an invaluable role in providing high quality arts programs for thousands of students.

Another way to support DFS is by donating to the Perloff Memorial Bus Fund.

While membership gifts provide general support for all areas of DFS,  contributions to the Perloff Memorial Bus Fund specifically help to subsidize free transportation to UCLA for DFS events.

Funding for field trips in our public schools has been severely reduced or eliminated because of budget cutbacks, significantly increasing the number of buses paid for by DFS. Student transportation costs made up nearly one third of our program expenses last year. With help from our generous supporters, we were able to provide free busing for over 10,000 students—that’s more than 180 buses!

$300 will ‘Buy-A-Bus,’ making free transportation available for  up to 75 students for one performance.
$150 provides transportation for an entire class.
